My 2004 Lexus RX330 SRS (air bag) light came on when I was hit solidly in the rear. Luckily my tow bar took the brunt of the impact so I had very little body damage.
I took my RX330 to my local Lexus dealer and for "ONLY" $167 they could tell me why the SRS light was on. I was tempted to respond that I knew why it was on, I just didn't know how much it was going to cost me to have it turned off.
Although the service agent would not tell me how much it might cost to repair, he did warn me that it could get quite complicated and time consuming. It might became necessary to "remove" body panels. It may just have been my imagination, but I thought I saw $$$$ dollar signs light up in his eyes.
So I contacted Automotive Circuit Solutions via phone and spoke with David. What a lifesaver! David explained why the module was probably not the culprit. He recommended that I have a local body shop with the proper equipment check the passenger seat sensor for recalibration.
Don't take me wrong, I have nothing against Lexus dealers. They give awesome customer service and great tasting coffee.
However, if you would prefer to spend your money on a weekend in Cancun instead of at a Lexus dealer to turn off your SRS light, do yourself a favor, contact Automotive Circuit Solutions at (417)755-0179. DO NOT take it to your Lexus dealer unless you prefer to spend $1,000+ on a lit SRS light!
