A completely dead digital tachometer on these John Deere tractors can sometimes be caused by a blown fuse, a faulty ignition switch, or a wiring fault rather than the unit itself. Verify power and ground at the tachometer connector before sending — if the unit has power at the connector but the display remains blank, the unit is the likely cause. At this time please take pictures of your unit for your records. (This is to help in the case it gets damaged or scratched up)
