New Holland TN Tractor LCD Display Blank — Cluster Repair Service
Your New Holland TN Tractor LCD Display Went Blank.
Here's What Happened — and Here's the Fix.
The LCD on your cluster shows tach, hours, and ground speed. One day it goes blank. The fuel and temp gauges still work, so you know power is getting there. But the display is dark and it's not coming back on its own.

You fire up the tractor and the cluster looks mostly normal — fuel gauge reading, temp gauge working. But the LCD in the middle of the cluster is blank. No tachometer. No hour meter. No ground speed. Just a dark screen where all that information used to be.
You're not dealing with an electrical gremlin or a wiring issue. The fact that your analog gauges are still working tells you exactly what you need to know: power and ground are reaching the cluster just fine. The LCD display itself has failed internally — and it is repairable.
The problem is that most repair shops won't touch it. Automotive electronics shops work on cars and trucks. Tractor dealers want to sell you a new cluster — if they can even find one. And sourcing a used cluster from a salvage yard is a gamble that often leaves you with the same problem on a different unit.
At Automotive Circuit Solutions, we repair the 20-pin digital display cluster used across the New Holland TN series — the cluster that shows your tachometer, hour meter, and ground speed on a single LCD screen. We have been repairing automotive and equipment electronics for over 10 years. This cluster is one we know well.
Which clusters we repair
We repair the 20-pin digital display cluster only — the unit with the LCD screen in the center that displays tach, hours, and ground speed. If your cluster has a digital LCD display and a 20-pin connector, this service is for you.

|---|---|---|
| TN55 / TN60 / TN65 | TN55D, TN60DA, TN60VA, TN65D, TN65F, TN65V | 1999–2005 |

Part numbers listed are not a complete list. If your part number is not shown, contact us before ordering — we can confirm compatibility.
Note: We repair the 20-pin digital display cluster only. The older 16-pin cluster used on some early TN55 tractors is a different unit and is not covered by this service. Count the pins on your main harness connector if you are unsure which variant you have.

Why buying a replacement cluster is the wrong move
The first instinct is usually to find a replacement. A quick search turns up a few options: a used unit from a salvage yard, a cheap listing online, or a dealer quote that makes you put the phone down. Here is the problem with all three.
OEM clusters for the TN series are increasingly scarce. New Holland no longer manufactures several of these part numbers. When you do find one new or used, you are dealing with a unit that is the same age as the one that just failed, with the same internal components that have been through the same years of heat, vibration, and field conditions. A used cluster may work for a season. It may not work at all. And when it fails again, you're back to square one with different hours showing on the display.
That last point matters more than people realize. A replacement cluster will not show your original hours. For a tractor being used commercially, or one you plan to sell, that is a real problem. When we repair your original cluster, your hours come back with it exactly as they were.
The salvage yard gamble: Every cluster in this family was built with the same components in the same era. The failures are age-related. A salvage unit is not a known-good part — it is a part that has not failed yet. There is a difference.

Not sure if the cluster is the problem? If both your analog gauges and the LCD are out, it may be a power or ground issue on the machine side rather than an internal cluster failure. Contact us before sending anything in — we can tell you exactly which wires need to show power and ground so you can verify on your machine first.
What we do not repair: We do not fix physically cracked LCD screens or damage to the cluster housing. We also do not repair cosmetic issues such as a faded graphic overlay. If you are unsure whether your cluster qualifies, contact us with a description and a photo before sending it in.

Questions we get asked
Why did the LCD display on my New Holland TN tractor go blank?
The LCD display on the New Holland TN series cluster shows tachometer, hour meter, and ground speed. When it goes blank while the analog gauges continue working normally, the failure is internal to the cluster. It is not a fuse, not the alternator, and not the main wiring harness. The analog gauges running off a separate circuit is your confirmation that power is reaching the cluster correctly.
My fuel and temp gauges still work but the LCD screen is blank. Is the whole cluster bad?
No. The analog gauges and the LCD display run on separate circuits inside the cluster. Working analog gauges confirm that power and ground are reaching the cluster correctly. The LCD failure is internal to the cluster — and it is repairable.
Does a repaired cluster require dealer programming or calibration?
No. The 20-pin digital display cluster is completely plug-and-play. No dealer programming, no calibration, and no special tools required after installation. Remove the old cluster, install the repaired unit, and it works.
Will my original hours be preserved after repair?
Yes. Because we repair your original cluster, your hour meter reading is preserved exactly as it was before the display went blank.
What part numbers does this repair service cover?
We repair the 20-pin digital display cluster used across the New Holland TN series. Known applicable part numbers include 5192077, 47137570, 47125969, 87355428, and 87626275. This list is not complete — contact us with your part number if it is not listed. We repair the 20-pin digital display variant only.
I'm not sure if the problem is the cluster or something on the tractor. What should I do?
Contact us before sending anything in. If both your analog gauges and the LCD are out, the issue may be a bad ground or no power reaching the cluster rather than an internal cluster failure. We can tell you exactly which wires need to show power and ground so you can verify on your machine before pulling the cluster.
What is not covered by this repair service?
We do not repair physically cracked LCD screens or physical damage to the cluster housing. We also do not repair cosmetic issues such as a faded or damaged graphic overlay. If you are unsure whether your cluster qualifies, contact us with a description and a photo before sending it in.
